Grassroots Grants
More good news on the funding front.
Transition Brixton has secured £5,000 from Grassroots Grants to pay operating expenses over the next two year
period. Still we are very much in need of more funding to support growth and build capacity. The £2,500 2009 operating budget is less than 1/4 of what we had in 2008 and we have far more going on now. We need to find new revenue streams, funding, and sponsorship. |

| Lambeth Town Hall was packed on the evening of Thursday 2 October when Transition Town Brixton held The GREAT UNLEASHING: The official start of work on our Local Energy Descent Plan. We are grateful to so many people who helped us kick off with such a bang.. |

At the end of the evening we began the process of visioning our good low energy future. Hundreds of ideas were generated in small group which were then stuck as leaves on a Transition Tree representing the various branches of TTB. They are viewable here and make inspiring reading Groups are forming, meeting, planning projects, events and their part of the Local Energy Descent Plan.
